USA Canada UK France Japan Australia Italy Hawaii Japan USA Canada UK France Australia Italy In 1996, a year after the first Ultraman Fighting Evolution game was released as a Super Famicom exclusive, it was decided to release the second installment as both a store-bought cartridge and as a rental-only title. As could be expected from the name of this entry, this version is part of the Fighting Evolution series and deals with Ultraman's various incarnations (mostly Ultra Seven) and has an appearance by Alien Baltan and Alien Guts. After the success of Ultraman Fighting Evolution 2 , it was decided to release Ultraman Fighting Evolution 3 the following year. Similar in gameplay to previous titles with some minor additions, this version is considered by many fans of the series to be the most balanced of its series. This installment has no story at all but rather allows players to choose between characters from various shows, movies and special productions in fighting one-another. Notable additions include a small amount of CGI footage during the introductory sequence, additional modes such as "Survival" which pits players against an endless horde of opponents and an "Endless" mode which allows for longer matches by allowing players to recover lost life bars via collecting them from defeated opponents. This version is available on both store-bought cartridge and rental-only formats, however the two versions are different. As with the first two Fighting Evolution titles, this game features a character roster of fighters from various Ultra series productions. This time around it includes all nineteen fighters from Ultraman Fighting Evolution 2 as well as newcomers Ultraman Gaia, Time Stranger and Gomora. The game also includes mini-games which makes use of the PlayStation's DualShock version 2 controller's vibration capabilities. Nearly a year after the release of Ultraman Fighting Evolution 3 , it was decided to release a budget-priced version called Ultraman Fighting Evolution Rebirth. Similar in design to the second Fighting Evolution title, this version includes different modes of play consisting of "Venture" which is similar to "Story Mode" from the original game, "Battle", which plays like previous titles and an added mode called "Training" where players can practice against computer-controlled opponents. While the roster is similar in design and content to its predecessor, this entry has a different character selection screen and makes use of Super Famicom controllers instead of DualShock 2's. At the time of the release of these two titles, "Fighting Evolution" was one of the more popular series produced by Bandai Namco Video Entertainment. The franchise continues on with several successors, most notably Ultra Seven. is an arcade game released by Bandai Namco in 2008. It is based on the Fighting Evolution series and features characters from that game as well as others such as Ultraman Leo and Ultraman Belial. The game includes wireframe models for each character which are stored on a card resembling a memory card. cfa1e77820
